Dear
Edward,
I was handed your book at the Eugene Holiday Market. I read it and passed
it along to a friend.
I want to let you know how much I enjoyed it. I could not put it down.
It grabbed me from the start and didn't let go. Great job! I hope you do
well with sales. I will tell everyone I know.

Dear Edward,
...Besides the enjoyment of the high adventure of your book, I realized
after I sent my e-mail that I wanted to thank you also for the inspiration.
In these troubled times when the Earths destruction seems just around the
corner, your book gave me hope of not only survival of life on the planet,
but also of life on a much higher spiritual plane. It helps me keep the
faith that something greater is going to happen.
My best
to you,
Sue Ellen

...This
morning I got up early and started reading Whispering Whale.
I am only to the third chapter and am already engrossed. I love it. It
is very well written and the story is captivating. I will share the book
with my step-daughter in Calif.... I can't wait to tell her about the book,
so far due to it's expertise in writing, and as I read more, the story
content which is very appealing to this point.

Hey Ed,
I scored a copy of Whispering Whale while tending a booth
at the entrance of Holiday Hall at the fairgrounds a couple weeks ago.
What a boon! My husband was home, stir-crazy with a hand injury healing
up and he plowed right into the book. I received blow-by-blow updates
as he progressed unswervingly from front to back. What a GREAT story
line !!! Cliff-hanger from early on.
Ya did good... We're passing the word onwards. Again, thanks everso!

I must tell you, that was one of the best books I've read in a long time.
I work full time and yet read the book in three days. It's the type of
book that you just can't put down... The ending left me hanging, so many
unanswered questions. I do hope you will consider writing another.
Please
Edward, Please, write another, you have such a gift.

-I love the book! I appreciate the fact that the author has visualized
the scenerio that I figured out years ago, that when this whole mess finally
falls apart (whether it is the political B.S. or a major natural disaster
like the inevitable super earthquake when the plates finally make a big
move), the people who will survive are those who have planned for it...
The things
about love and loyalty, grief and stregnth of mind and body are well done
also.
Thanks for sending it, I thoroughly enjoyed reading it and will pass it
on to whatever friends will read it... some will understand, some won't
but will enjoy it anyway, and some won't get past the first chapter for
the same reason they don't read Heinlien and some others - it scares the
living **** out of them to be told that their little world could change
so radically, so quickly. Sad, but true.
Thanks again - it left me thoughtful, and saddened, and vindicated in my
belief that there is a higher power out there.

It
was just after noon on Christmas Eve when I pulled my old Toyota up to
the watchman's trailer on our job site high in the coastal mountains of
Oregon.
The only Christmas gift for old Delbert I could think of was to give him
this day at home with his family, and it let me have the undistracted time
I needed to give Edward's book a worthy read.
Just about 2 o'clock Delbert cranked up his rickety Chevy pick-up and headed
down the mountain, and the storm clouds closed in from the south-west.
With my last trip to the car to retrieve Ed's manuscript the rains started,
just a few drops at first but within 5 minutes it was as if the little
camp trailer had been placed under a waterfall.
Torrential were the rains that night, and the winds howled their agony
as they bent around the many peaks and through the canyons.
Finally I lay back, reading again Ed's Christmas Greeting which started
my journey through the experience called Whispering Whale........
Thank
you Edward, for this most unique encounter, and for your friendship over
these past 27 years.
